These terms apply to your use of tinyhouseguide.net (the Site), operated by Port Jackson Group (ABN 25 687 963 987). By using the Site you agree to them.

What the Site is

Tiny House Guide publishes general information about planning, building, financing and living in tiny homes in Australia and overseas. It is an information site, not a builder, lender, insurer, planner or legal adviser.

Information only — not advice

Costs, prices, regulations and finance figures on the Site are general guides drawn from public sources and change often. They are not financial, legal, building or planning advice and are not tailored to your situation. Always confirm current rules with your local council and state authority, and get advice from a licensed professional before spending money or signing anything.

Digital products

Where the Site sells templates, plans, calculators or guides, you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own project. You may not resell, share or republish them. Files are delivered by download or email after payment. Because they are digital goods delivered immediately, refunds are limited to the cases described in the Australian Consumer Law (for example a file that is faulty or not as described); please contact us first and we will put it right.

Builder directory and third parties

Builders, lenders, insurers, land and products listed or linked on the Site are independent businesses. We do not endorse, guarantee or take responsibility for their work, pricing, availability or conduct. Any contract you enter is between you and them.

Affiliate links and support

Some links may earn us a small commission at no cost to you, and the Site accepts voluntary support through Ko-fi. This never changes what we write or which businesses we list.

Your content

If you submit a comment, listing, story or photo, you confirm you own it or have permission, and you give us a licence to publish it on the Site and in our newsletter and social channels with credit.

Intellectual property

Text, guides, templates, plans, calculators, graphics and the Tiny House Guide name are owned by Port Jackson Group unless stated otherwise. You may share short extracts with a link back; you may not copy pages or products wholesale.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the Site's information or from dealings with any listed business. Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
