The Laundry

In a tiny home, a dedicated laundry room is a luxury few have space for. Far more often the laundry is built into the bathroom or kitchen, tucked into a cupboard, or combined with another room. The first decision is where it goes — everything else follows from that. Choose a topic below.

Space first. Before choosing a machine, decide where the laundry will live. If there's no room for a dedicated spot, the two common homes for it are the bathroom (it's already a wet area with plumbing) or the kitchen (plumbing is already there too). A washer-dryer combo in a cupboard is often all a tiny home needs.
