What a finished home costs in 2026
For about 20 m²: roughly €22,000 in Romania, €53,000–64,000 in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark, and about €88,000 in Switzerland. At 30 m²: €31,500 in Romania, €73,500–84,000 in the main Western markets, about €123,000 in Switzerland. Country of manufacture and level of fit-out explain most of the spread — always ask where the home is actually built.
Before you pay a deposit: check certification for your intended use, search the company register for solvency, insist on staged payments tied to build milestones, confirm insurance and warranty in writing, and visit the workshop.
